So I accidentally discovered a new feature on my camera today. The capability to take GIGANTONORMOUS images. I had always thought I was shooting at the highest resolution available on the camera, but, I have been sadly mistaken. Although I don't plan on ever using that high of a resolution for practical photography, it is however, very interesting looking at a picture that is so utterly clear, I feel like I can actually jump into it.

I'll have to remember this next time I choose to take a picture that I want LIFE SIZED.

On to another clever observation. Kayaking in the San Francisco bay is NOTHING AT ALL like kayaking in Hawaii. We're talking the difference between taking a rather pleasant spill into 80 degree clear, warm, water and frantically swimming to get out of some 40 degree murky green, absolutely frigid, water.

Not the most fun I've ever had. Not to mention the fact that, currents actually MATTER here. I did not particularly enjoy paddling madly for shore in order to avoid being swept out through the Golden Gate, or even worse, getting run over by some container ship. Not exciting at all.

I'll stick to lakes and rivers thank you very much.
